I hope this is pic heavy. :)
Cool
Post it up. I'd love to hear about it.
I always like to hear about carnage. (as long as it's not mine)

Trail report?

Getting every thing mocked up on the front end

I decided to get Rusty out of the garage, it's been almost a year since he got any attention. So I changed out the upper radiator hose, installed new monroe shocks and threw on a set of 31x10.50's I had from another CJ. Then a trip out on the property to check it all out.

I ran out of gas ... fortunately, I was getting off the fwy ... unfortunately, not close to a gas station

Drove mine to work today for the first time.:D

I still dislike the soft top, specifically Velcro holding tops of door openings. Need to work on this.

We didn't like 70 MPH very much and started to over heat, OK at 60. need to work on this.

Oil leak from the valve cover, I hope, check this out tonight when I get home.

I gutted the tub and give her a good thick coat of bed liner. It was a long day, but looks great. Much better.

brought the CJ7 to the neighbors yesterday, he took the welded spider gears out and put in the new gears, nice to drive now.

I drover her to work with just the bikini top and half door, just like any other day when it's supposed to be half way nice out. :D

A couple of days ago I got out the arc welder and fabricated a Jerry Can mount that'll bolt directly to my home made spare tire carrier. With only a 14 gallon tank, it'll be nice to have a place to carry a few more gallons, just in case. I'll post pics up once I have it bolted on and my new Jerry can arrives.

Rescue driver, im looking forward to seeing your jerry can mount, as i am going to the same thing. today i realized the reason i can bleed my brakes is the rebuilt master cylinder i bought is leaking. the replacement parts these days suck

Yes replacement part definitely are hit or miss lately.

I'll post the pics when it's mounted.

BTW, It's DIVER not DRIVER, as in Scuba. :chug:

sorry Rescue Diver. if thats what you do for a living, i have even more respect for you than a rescue driver. :chug:

i took my rebuilt master cylinder out tonight to return as a defective. it leaks past the seal into my booster. and i took the stupid trailer ball out of the bumper that the po decided to mount. who the hell has a trailer that will hook up to a CJ5 with 33's and a bumper mount.

I too removed the Receiver hitch from under my rear end this week. Got stuck on it again last weekend trying to cross a gulley, had to wench myself out. The rear locker doesn't do a bit of good if the wheels can't touch the ground.

turned in my leaking master cylinder for a rebuilt one, and to my surprise i got an aluminum one as a replacement. lets hope this one dosent leak. mabye if it plays nice i will polish it real nice

Drove over to the shop where I could put the jeep on the hoist and spent the day installing an OX locker in the front Diff.

Took a detour on the way back home to see what it could do with all four wheels turning. WOW!!!

Looks llike the end of this trail :)
