Pulled the carpet, tuffy trunk, rear seat and anything else that could catch fire. Getting my rear roll cage fabed and welded Monday!

Never before owning a CJ would I have thought I'd be so happy to buy doors. Now with the cold spell, I can't wait for the door strikes to get here.
Was relieved to find out that the occasional mysterious thud was due to the windshield frame and not the tranny / drive-line.

Thread it! Git'er done IO!retrieved my T-18, D20 from the barn and carried it home. $5 at the car wash and setting in the truck till tomorrow. Thinking of starting a thread and quit hijacking someone else s.

I would be very interested to know which striker posts you get and how you set them up. Bought half doors for mine and need the same mod. There are two types out there and I'm not sure which to use.

I would be a huge fan of anyone that could find a well designed replacement for the Bestop door strikes. they are quite literally a PITA.
What's all this "door" talk about. It was 48* out this morning , bikini top and no doors. No door talk till October.

75 here in Dallas. We had a massive cold front!!!! But still no doors or top.

Took it to breakfast, we go to a place were we can have the dog on the patio. No doors as it is over 100 today. The floors get so freaking hot on days like this.

Got the doors first and then bought Crown 55029454K and 55K. They sent them separately so I only have the passenger side so far. After cleaning up the screw holes, the striker plate went right on. Put the door on and it clicked shut with ease and no problems. Was very pleased.
Was excited about the doors only after 2+ years of waiting.... The cooler weather was only a reminder that I didn't want to freeze this winter for when it gets way down in temperature like to 60 degrees here in beautiful Texas

Do your door openings look like this? Mine is an '80 and I think they may take this other style door post.

I know, I am supposed to be spending all my abundant free time and money on the CJ and I feel shame for having strayed from the path to enlightenment . But I have been doing a bit of work on the present incarnation of what this earthling call's "camping". the new trim package smoothed out the ride a lot and the distance between gas pumps just got shorter by a ways. I am wondering if I am still going to get better mileage than the CJ carrying this and pulling the car trailer.

Hmmmm, another words, you've done nothing with your CJ today. Sorry, just being a smart alick, nice big ol' house on the back of your Toyota.
I took my CJ on a short 180 mile trip to Parker Canyon Lake with the boat on top. Was a nice trip, no pictures tough.
