Drove it with a cigar! Good to have it out of the garage!

I can't keep mine lit when the top is off. :D

I can if I keep puffing on it. One of my favorite things to do is drive around town topless with a cigar. Looking forward to doing it again soon. Beginning to think we won't really have a winter this year.

I finally read the instruction sheet for the GoFerIT inserts I've had in for two weeks......... it said grind off the bottom excess the extends beyond the knuckle arm. I DIDN'T DO THAT! So I went to the bolts, nuts and screws place and got a brass washer with ID of exactly 0.75 inches, and a thickness of 0.125 thousands for each insert. Fits perfectly, and now the washer is flush with the bottom of the insert, and the tierod end bolt gets a good bite.

I wonder why you might think I'm makin' this up as I go along?

Dropped a new set of smaller Holley Jets into my carb last night. Didn't have time to adjust the idle mixtures or get the pump shot adjusted right so now it's not quite running right. That's on the list for tonight as soon as I get home. This might not be the last set I try but I'm going to see how it goes.

:agree:
The only thing I would check is the torque(70-90 ft/lbs)on the carrier bearing cap bolts. Then sealer back up and refill.
How many miles do you have on that set up?

Did not get very far (or bot at all really) on the electrical mess. Bit I did the the exhaust shortened and tucked up so it is not dragging on the ground. Also removed the springs for the old axles and moved the frame and axles around the back of the house so the the HOA won't be tempted to send me a nasty gram.

Really hate that I am not getting power to the lights or radio in the cab. And for some reason the headlights/ highbeams are not working. I hate the electrical stuff.

Your gonna hear this a million times but getting good grounds with the fiberglass tub makes the electrical even tougher. Hang in there , you'll get it

I know all about those ground woes. I have been living with them since I picked this CJ up. Doesn't make me any better at them though.

I am thinking that the two parts of the block on the firewall are not mating together like they should. But I will start playing the "ground war" next. Grrrrrr.

I did that last fall. Added a brass bolt to each fender, the dash, and one through the the firewall and ran a ground loop around the entire engine bay through the grill and tied all my grounds to them. Made s big difference. Good luck.

I had a bunch of ground run throughout the engine bay before I did this. I was planning on pitting them back as they worked. But i like the idea of the brass bolts. Especially through the firewall.
