- '85 CJ-7, 258/4.2L 6cyl. Bought new in 1985. Full cage, Warn 8274 winch, Ford 9" rear, front/rear Detroit Lockers w/4:88 R&P. T-5 tranny and 4:1 t'case. 33X12.50-15 BFG/AT, MSD ign, on board air---
80W-90 gear oil. Same for the axles.

Cool, that makes it easy. Pretty much one weight for the whole jeep.. Well besides the engine lol

Get the gal bottle of Sta-lube and the hand pump.
On level ground-Fill till the oil runs out the filler, and then cap it off.
If you have a LSD rear diff. You need the 'friction modifier' for the Limited slip.
Set the bottle of oil in the sun for a couple of hours before you use it-Your shoulder will thank you for that.

No LSD here sadly.. Open diff's and 2.73 gears. Been thinking about true trac's maybe for the future, but right now I just need to get her back to road/ trail worthy.

Get some Moser one piece axles and ditch those 2:73 gears. TT is a great LSD.

IIRC, my Transmission (T-18 ), Transfer Case (Dana 20 ), and diffs (30/20) all have Valvoline gear oil in them.
