What is this connector used for?

I'm slowly finding things on my new jeep that I'm not sure what they're use for. Can anyone tell me what looks like to be a trailer harness/connector sitting by the winch is used for. Its circled in red in the picture. Thanks!!!

Many things it could be for. Like lights when towed, block heater, battery charger/maintainer.
Where does the loom go from that connector?

Looks to me that it might be a plug for towing. Did the previous owner tow it with a tow bar? There's no way of knowing for sure without tracing the wires.

Looks like a plug for lights when towing to me also.
