I've been running Interco swampers for years. You simply cant ask for a better offroad tire. The problem with them is they are very typically narrowed to specific use. the exception to this is the Radial TSL. I ran two different sizes of these (32 and 33) and as a dual purpose tire they are the absolute best I have ever experienced.....terrific onroad manners and wear, and offroad they offer true TSL performance.

My current tires are 36" biasply TSL's....cant find a way to stop these things.

I ran super swamper 37" ssr's till they wore out wanted another set but got 37" bfg baja t/a radials . Ssr's were heavy bfg's are heavier but the sidewalls are solid.

Pro comp mud terrains. Second set and no complaints.

I'm running gy duratrac 33-15-12.5 they are great on road ok off road if I had it to do over I would get the gy mtr. It's a little more aggressive tire for off road use and I hear they are pretty quite on the street and wear well.

I run 33 10.50 15 BFG KM2's on my 84 CJ7 and bought them for 200 each from Costco. Best tires I have ran yet. I have had many CJ's a few YJ's and a TJ. all with different tires. My jeep is primarily used offroad on trails. Locked front and back.

But I will throw something at yah.
A co-worker was looking for tires for his TJ. 31 10.50 15
He was looking at spending around 400. But he did not want used. Primary use was on road driving with some offroad use.
I recommended the Treadwright.com to him. He was into them about 420.00 including shipping.
I have been very impressed and it has great reveiws on all types of rigs.

I am just saying. You might check them out.

You just hooked me up as well. I need 31 inch tires for some spare rims in a Jeep that will only see occasional street use and this is perfect because I do not want to drop allot of money on them. I cannot find any used around here so this works out great.

You guys do realize they are selling re-treaded tires, right?

Not only are they retreads but damn good one too. A friend has a set on his 1 ton dodge for a year now no problems there are also guys running them on there pulling trucks, one in particular is an 880 hp cummins and still hasn't destroyed a set they are also carry a lifetime warranty against cap failure. Also if you ask they will make sure you get a matched set of casings. Also recap technology has changed greatly over the last 20 years, you may notice a lot of tire treads on the side of the road and attribute them to recaps when in fact if you look closer they have cords sticking out of them. Recaps don't have cords in them as cords are part of the casing not the cap. those are virgin tire failures due to inflation issues either over or under or being overloaded.

I completely understand they are retreads. And I grew up in the Wheat lands of Washington were we ran retreads on ALL our farm rigs.

I am running Kumho 31x10.5R15 Road Venture MT. At 15 lbs they grip the rocks pretty good. They do great in sand and snow. They cost me $AMC 150 each at TireRack.com They handle good on the road, they are a bit noisy but the pipes are louder. For a cheep tire they do alright and they look good.:)
