Wide track?

I see a lot on here about wide track Cj’s. Please educate me as to what this is and how to know if you have one.

Your 85 cj should be a wide track unless someone swapped out a set for narrow track.

Refers to axle width...based on year model.

Assuming yours have not been altered or replaced, they should be wide tracks, as they were in 7s from '82-'86

Front would measure 55.8", rear 55" (wheel mating surface to wheel mating surface on each side)
