...you can't understand why all the drivers on the road are in such a hurry to get somewhere!

 I'll let that one ride. Very appropriate use of the 3 asterix. :chug:

Until the next time you drive and find something else.to fix.

there is light at the end of the tunnel!! If you work hard, lead a good lift and faithfully follow the path to enlightenment, there will come a day when break downs and component failures will no longer be a problem.

They you will enter the deeply spiritual realm of " I think that would be better than what I have now". In this level of enlightenment where the air is thin and the tithe requires true sacrifice. You will study the books of Atlas, Borg Warner, OX and ARB. This is when the Acolytes will listen intently as you speak of virtues of bias ply side walls, selectable differentials and minimum pressures with out bead locks. And you will regal them with tails of black bear and poison spider.

This will not be the end of your enlightenment as the path is a journey not a destination.

The test of true enlightenment will come when pulled over by state police wishing to discuss the lack of fender coverage over the 12.50 42s and you just smile and say "these are not the droids you are looking for", they say "thank you", turn and walk away.

When.....
"Id really like to enjoy working on it more. I was out of work a few weeks and that depleted all my Jeep fund again. Its not helping that my brother went back to work now and our schedules arent lining up at all."

Sorry Pete, couldn't help myself.....that was too funny to pass up. Sorry if this breaks a rule.

I don't know what I would do, if my CJ5 was finally done. There's nothing more therapeutic, then spending a Saturday fixing or upgrading something on my Jeep.

I may not be able to fix everything in my life/career, but at least I can fix my alternator. :)

I realized this last night I think. I spent nearly an hour putting my carb back together and adjusting it last night, listening to the Dr. Drew podcast. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Don't worry, from the list of your jeep upgrades, I'd say your going to be busy for a long time.:D

......you smile when she breaks :D

I have been known to smile when it breaks just as I pull into the yard.:D

"she got me home again"

I hear you brother

When you pull up.to a 'jk' rally and your ride is the most popular there......proved this Saturday.

That happened to me a few weeks ago at a local get together. A lot of nicely built JKs but my 8 (and a built YJ) were getting a lot of attention.

Dain

I agree! People give you a lot more attention, when you own a vehicle that took possibly years of blood, sweat, and tears to get on the road.

When I see a tricked out JK, I see someone who most likely threw a bunch of money at his mechanic, and said "build it for me!" He probably never even changed his own oil.

Just my opinion! :)

When you are contorting your arm into the depths of an engine compartment and you aren't sure if the moisture you are suddenly feeling on you skin is fluid from the engine, sweat, or your own blood.

Happened to me this weekend, it was my own blood, I had apparently opened up my pinky pretty good.
