You know you own a CJ when...
When your defrost rag always hangs on your passenger grab bar. Just during the winter months, of course. :)

your working on it on the driveway and people driving by give you complements on your cj.

When you know what fluid is leaking by it's aroma.

When you look like a retard slapping the back of your hand off the roll bar behind your left shoulder looking for the seatbelt. And then the next day, when you're driving your 'other' 'modern' jeep (cherokee), you can't get out because the door handle is in the wrong place.:rolleyes:

When you drop something and you can reach all for corners of the tub looking for it, while driving.

When a your 20 something son in law gets in the passenger seat and asked where the seat belts are. And you tell him not to worry the truck will vaporize into a cloud of rust if we hit something anyway!!.

This comes in so handy when the passenger door flies open because it wasn't latched right. Just wait for it to swing back, reach over and close it. :D

I didn't read you're post until after it was censored. My imagination on what the word was way off of reality. All of this "don't offend anybody" is offensive.
I must research into this door device or seems interesting.

I get that look from the wife when hers pops open. The daughter just sighs and rols her eyes when she has to ride in it. I just grin bigger.

When the neighbors ask about the Transmission you are working on and their eyes glaze over when you say, "This is the best Transmission ever put in a CJ......."

Was sitting at a stop light an old sun warn Wrangler was waiting in a parking lot to enter the road. I knew he was there, but hey, I'm in a CJ, acknowledgement is up to the guy in the Wrangler. The guys in the Wrangler were young so I didn't expect much. They finally pulled in the lane next to me and the passenger leans over and hollers, "Hey big Dog!" with thumbs up and a big smile. Remember it's 115* with 5% humidity. So, what did I do? Of course I looked at him, smiled and gave him a cool "Bog Dog" nod of acknowledgement. I wrote this somewhere before, it was amazing to see how many open top CJ's there were on the road in 115* heat, in a short drive I bet I saw 10 different ones. I NEVER see that many CJ's in a day.

HH-I don't think there's 10 CJ's where I live-:(
