Hello

Just a few easy ones (not easy for me ).
1) My back break cylinder is leaking a very small amount of break fluid. How much is too much. You may be able to see it in this picture.

2) How do I remove the calipers on these disc breaks? Please see the picture. I can not find the common two screws that hold the caliper on to the frame.

Thank you

A leaking brake cylinder can cause problems and make quite a mess, it will not get any better. The front brakes are an add on unit and will take some research on how to maintaince them.

73 CJ didn't have Disc Brakes.

If you want to remove the calliper. Just remove the two bolt holding it on. Use a Allen wrench to remove it.

Those are Ford floating calipers. Here is a bit of info.

Classic Broncos .com - Tech: F-150 Disc brakes * 66-77 Early Ford Broncos

Basically remove the allen head bolt to the right in your picture. Then drive out the retainer and retainer spring that the bolt holds in place. The caliper will now come off. Hard part is driving the retainer and spring back in.

...and it is brakes, not breaks.

Actually those sure look like 76-77 6-bolt caliper bracket & calipers.

Remove the Allen socket bolt a tap the wedge out.

Popular swap for Intermediates. That's what I ran until I went Dana 44 . :D
