1984 CJ7 : 4.2 carbureted, T4 BW Trans, Dana 300 Transfer Case, Dana 30 Front Diff, AMC 20 Rear Diff. Work in Process
Swapping 2.5 for a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l , I have read that you have to shorten one of the driveshaft's was wondering if anyone had a spec on this.
 
AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l with the T-4 the front shaft collapsed length is 30 3/4". The rear shaft collapsed length is 20 3/4".

Those numbers are from Quadratecs catalog for replacement shafts.
 
:notworthy:You the man Pete, thank you so much, going to load them in the band saw then weld them to size this week. Will post pictures.
