Hi everyone, first post here as I am rebuilding my 1979 Jeep CJ7 with the AMC 304 automatic, Golden Eagle addition. I walked around the jeep yesterday after having trouble trying to install the patriot headers on the driver side only to notice that the engine blocks slanted towards the driver side. Can anyone tell in my picture of what is going on? I assume I am having trouble installing a driver side header because of the engines angle?
I have a new motor mounts to install and I want to confirm that my brackets are in the correct location as well. Prior to removing the tub the jeep ran in track straight as a aarow with 35x12.5 Wrangler MTRs.

Just in case..check the Transmission mounting...had an issue with mine when I first bolted it in..couldn’t get the configuration right and it off set everything...simple fix when I found it...had me scratching my head for a day..

Thanks for the idea of checking the transferase mount. I will do that tomorrow. Are there different mounting locations possible? Do my engine mounts look correct? Are they in the right frame hole configurations? Thanks in advance

I know you wouldn’t have thought so..but on my 86..it was not as obvious as you would think..had to googlefoo to eventually find a pic of the right deal...I’m not saying that’s it ..but that’s exactly how mine sat before I realized it was wrong..if I can get a pic I will...

This was my set up..it’s how it attaches to the tranny...

Good morning, I took these pictures this morning and hopefully they will help. Please tell me if anything looks out of alignment or in the wrong position. Thanks in advance

Start checking to be sure the frame is 'square'.

I’m not sure what the problem is but I think I’m just going to live with it and find a way to make my headers work. Thanks for the ideas guys
