Well very cool I now know the difference between the CJ and YJ pedal assembly and put the CJ pedal set back in my Jeep which fixed my hydroboost return spring problem.... apparently the rod on the hydroboost was in enough of a bind that the pedal would not return all the keeping the brakes applied..... now you can stop my Jeep with your fingers

So the CJ clutch/brake pedals are the way to go with the hydro boost to make it work best ?

Absolutely, the YJ pedal set I have had the pin to low on the pedal putting the rod in a bind, if you have that pedal set you can fix it by drilling a hole in the correct location which is in line with the center of the hole in the firewall

Well it’s been a minute, it’s really hot here and have been pretty busy with work but today I decided to fix the leaking power steering pump and swap to my aluminum water pump...... and that’s when I discovered that my motor was trying to keep secrets from me even tho I’m the one who built it......

Well today was fun.... sweeting my butt completely off but water pump and power steering pump both in and no leaking so far, took it for my normal run and she stayed at 180 the whole way.... for bonus points I replaced the 165 degree t stat for a 180 and replaced my beer carton gasket for a felpro lol


Expeller design is different between pumps as well as material

That new water pump looks awesome. The improved impeller design should be quieter, reduce any vibration and most importantly maintain very good flow rates.

so far so good, i took it around my test track yesterday and it got up 180 degrees and stayed there, hard to tell what made the difference tho
 
Yesterday I was able to get the new American made seat belts installed, wife was tired of waiting on the desert tan seatbelts to ship so I got what they had in stock which was black

On to the fun stuff today I have to finish drilling and welding in the anchor bungs for the rear seatbelts
