Build Thread 83 CJ7 its time to get it done

They had a blast riding home in daddy’s Jeep

I hate it for them having to endure a hot, bumpy, noisy ride home! How long did it take to pry them out once you got home?

Round two, we are back at the shop for alignment and inspection, he said he would have to fix my exhaust leak to do the inspection :) should find out tomorrow afternoon

The light is at the end of the tunnel! Don't stop the posts once you're able to drive it every day, I need the motivation to keep moving on mine!

Agree with MassCJ7, I need to see there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

My frame has been at a shop getting blasted and some body mounts repaired for a week and it seems like ages.

Jeeps seem to take a long time...... one day i would like to get my frame powder coated but for now i need to drive it and wheel it

I envy you guys that are doing the frame off restorations. It is obviously the "right" way to do it. But I like driving my jeep too much to have it out of commission for such a long time so I just do a little at a time. I'm sure the way i'm doing it isn't the best, my hats off to you guys doing it the correct way and I love reading about it.

lol heck I wish i had worked on mine while i was driving it, mines been down way to long

My alignment guy is killing me.... it’s worse than waiting on the UPS guy, exhaust is done he hopes to have the alignment and inspection done today..... so while I was waiting I decided that some lovin’ and good plywood would get this cheap Chinese shelf in good working order.... now I’m glad I didn’t toss it in the scrap bin because I’m into it for $18 on 3/4” plywood 3 hours of assembly and welding and 1 Red Bull..... gonna work good after all

Man I’m super excited now :).... I stopped by the shop since mechanic wasn’t answering right before he closed and he said he had not gotten the alignment done yet so I was super bummed about that, then at 7pm right when the kids gymnastics was finishing he calls me to tell me my alignment was done and the only thing left was the inspection and my stupid insurance card expired last week ggrrrrrr

Lol ya it’s like the house builder was planning on me to put a shelf there

Holy :dung:...... Jeep is done finally..... it blew the one original power steering hose on the way back from inspection and was pissing all over the exhaust manifold and bled the brakes dry in the process so the alignment guy alarmist had my Jeep burn down on him and get into a wreck at the same time :0
