So.... did the filler tube swap sides from 82 to 83?
I am familiar with all of the tried and true Technics listed above. Being a country boy from a large family you learn to do with what you have, or do without.
I really would like a 20 gal tank in mine. my 4.0L is fuel injected and I'm sure I'll have to reinvent the plumbing. Any other clearance issues I should know about?
I have seen a few guys since I bought my tank put the in tank fuel pump on the CJ sending unit and drill a hole in the top of it for the wiring and seal the hole up with silicone......
That would be wwwwaaaaaaayyyyy easier than what I did, the CJ 20 gallon tank will hang lower but it’s better than cutting out both rear cross members and welding in new ones after you spread the rails out with a bottle jack

The fuel pump on the sending unit is the way i did mine
