I will also say it’s good to hear from you again gert. I enjoyed watching your build and seeing you bring it to life. It gives us all hope that there is an end in sight.

Sometimes it feels like Sisyphus rolling a boulder uphill only to have it roll back down once I get a little progress.

Cheers!

Man I tell you there was a lot of times that bolder was pressing on me pretty hard putting my Jeep together, I’m very happy that it’s running and driving and the 4 wheel drive works good

It’s going to be fun to finish it

I gotta say - that’s one of the coolest license plate mountings I’ve ever seen...... and the plate itself is nice too

Sounds like the family was excited and having fun.

Lol, that plate has done some battle. I’m surprised the zip ties have held as long as they have

They do make a clip on plate mount for roller fairleads

Maybe just rivet it to the grill. :biggun: Glad we don't have them on the front here.

I think tomorrow I need to find my roller rockers, I stuffed them in a box during my last move, I need to start measuring so I can get the new push rods on order

Also if anyone knows the pre load amount needed let me know, I haven’t thought about roller rocker set up in probably a decade :0

Gert is back! Your build is what I need to get me back on track with my build!

I spent way to many years building mine, I was really happy to have it On the road the last year in a half almost two years now you will get yours way nicer than mine it looks

Internet says that in the middle of your lift the rocker should be parallel with the top of the spring retainer.....that didn’t work for me, my contact patch was not centered over the valve stem.... however when I shortened my push rod by .250 to an even 8 inches I got a good centered contact patch

Also guide plates with screw in studs, are they 7/16?

LOL, heck no, I’m being lazy and am using 5/16 base 3/8 rocker thread studs so that I don’t have to spend forever trying to drill and tap my heads, I bought an edelbrock performer cam so I don’t think I need much over stock hardware, I have had the rockers and bulltear oil pump since 2014 thinking I was going to build a nice motor, time to use them on the old motor
