got more progress done today, I bought 5 foot of 1.5 inch DOM tubing today and got it under the Jeep measured/ cut and hope to have the steering arms welded up shortly. Now I begin the search for a pitman arm, spent so much time looking at and researching the flat top knuckle stuff that I forgot about a matching big hole pitman arm. If all goes well I should have my hubs assembled and rotors on the Jeep in the morning, from there I will be installing the front brakes =)

Stupid double tap....

Bow chicki bow wow, this has been years in the making, still a 2 wheel drive for now but getting there, so I got the arm torqued to 110 upper ball joint to 100 lower to 80 and of course I ran out of grease and I can't find banjo bolts, I am going to try to get the drivers side done in the morning, I have a new YJ pitman arm and taper sleeve adapter on the way to complete the steering I was surprised by the instructions on my warn lock nuts to me to torque inner nut to 50 pounds and back off 90 degrees then the lock washer has holes to match a stud on the inner nut then torque outer nut to 160-205 pounds =0. 01097d538828f7cebd855c9eff52c73e.webpdf103b283621e9eb25ccb096b780b6aa.webp116f137e1f7328a033702b78b31a1547.webp

Nicely done. Mine probably should have had a similar suspension - I swear some PO hauled cattle in the back of mine.... or boulders. No, definitely cattle.

Looks like it's coming along nicely!

I'm scared that shortly I will be stuck waiting on funds again, but until then I am going to keep after it

I sold my 2005 Rubicon Unlimited to cover my CJ restoration. My wife constantly reminds me of the budget! Fortunately every penny I got for my Rubicon is going into this CJ.

Keep at it!

That's cool, glad you were able to, im hoping to get the Jeep running and sell my truck to cover the paint and engine rebuild, which will be fun since the truck is my daily go get the kids from the babysitter vehicle lol
