Scrapping is hard work, I don't have room anymore with the new house to accumulate much

Yeah I was doing pop cans too, and just gave up. To much work for 15 bucks lol

I think copper and aluminum is about the only thing worth trying to scrap even stainless doesn't bring much

Looks like copper is $1.88 a pound and aluminum cans are .45 a pound

I cant stand not being able to work on my Jeep this long grrrrr

Got the Transmission finished, I thought I had RTV at the house but I couldnt find any so most of the Transmission is sealed with 3M marine adhesive. so it should be water proof lol. now im waiting on funds again to get the bell housing so I can install it in the Jeep. This whole NV4500 project was a deeper rabbit hole than I had hoped for but I sure learned alot about them in the process, I now have a later model case and a Chevy 2wd output that I need to sell.

I was held up for awhile waiting to find an early case and a used reverse idler gear, the replacement 5th gear but I got all that and in a few hours I will have the Transmission and Transfer Case mounted together and will be waiting on the new bell housing. I had to make an adapter ring for the input bearing retainer to adapt the early retainer to the later model retainer.

Well I got the Transfer Case mounted this morning now to wait on the bell housing, I am looking into making a pto cover out of aluminum to be able to add a sight glass for quick fluid level check

I still need to get a radiator and heater core for the engine stuff to be complete. I kinda have taken a long break on it. Just been busy with family stuff, but I'm looking to start back up on it here soon.

That said, I put air in the front passenger tire today, it was low, so I worked on it! Lol

pto cover done, the epoxy I had let loose during machining so went to the good ole stand by RTV. I have to get a NPT tap for a fitting in the bottom corner and that will finish up this cover and give me a fluid level quick reference.

Got the pto cover drilled, threaded and installed. Now I have an easy to see sight gauge for my Transmission fluid
