Sounds good - I fixed my tapping as well........ rather, it stopped on its own. I figure whatever was tapping either freed itself, bent, broke, or fell off. Either way, it ain’t tapping anymore.

Video works sounds good. Now we need a video of it tearing up the street. :)

Pretty excited to get a video of that myself, still needing to bleed the brakes first

Man the AMC engineers must have been smoking some good dope when they came up with the power steering bracket, I have yet to figure out how it has room to adjust when the front bracket locks it in place, I lost it and am to cheap to buy one from the scalpers on eBay so I’m fabbin one up out of some 1/4 scrap aluminum

No kiddin - I think their challenge was to make a bracket as complicated as possible but still function. A two part bracket and the pump itself is the moving part......

I don’t understand still how the pump moves if the front bracket doesn’t have slotted holes, on mine the 2 bolts that bolt it to the rear bracket are going to be spotted to allow the pump to rotate

The 4 & 6 cylinder ones seem pretty simple and works well. Just worked mine last week

I was able to fab up a splice pipe for my electric fan temp sensor.... hopefully it doesn’t leak lol

Finally figuring out some of how the V8 power steering pump bracket works, the pump uses the steel bracket on the back of the pump(that I lost of course) to pivot on the big aluminum bracket, time to fab that up

It does seem like that whole assembly could have been a little simpler design - they must have had some free time to kill when they came up with that bracket monstrosity

I've been working on the alternator bracket that came with my engine core I purchased for rebuilding. Only 3 main pieces but I've had to add many steel bushings to get the belt to line up straight. I did some google searches I don't really see this bracket coming up. Looks to robust not to be original, but the ones I see look to be 1 piece. Think I finally got it though
