Well this is progress. Even if just a little bit. 0ebb7ca221ba066f100fc668e0ba6b71.jpg

Frame is back from blasting and welding, time to get it rust-proofed and painted before the weather gets to cold.

I’m letting the internal frame coating dry. I’ll rust-proof the exterior tomorrow. This is a big step in progress.

Is that plastic tube spraying some sort of paint or sealant inside the frame box?

Yes, it’s Eastwood’s internal frame coating. It’s an internal frame rust preventative.

It has a very low viscosity for a spray product, as such it really gets into all the books and crevices.

Read nothing but great reviews about it. A little expensive though. I used about 4 cans.

I guess that would work on the boxed in part of front fenders too then?? :)

Nice work. I have two cans of the Eastwood stuff too. I guess I need some more. How much of a mess was it spraying? I need to do mine and wondering how much it sprays out.

Thanks, I used four cans and probably would have found use in a fifth for some touch ups. The stuff is messy to apply. I had gloves on and they were covered by the end. The little tube kept getting caught on debris or stuck in a divot, that’s what would cause it to twist and start spraying out of the other holes.

Also it has the consistency of water purposely so it runs into all the little nooks and crevices, but as a result it drips out everywhere. It has a very strong odor as well. Smells like spray paint, but very strongly.

Ok. Then I’ll roll it out of the garage with some tarps! Thanks

Spent a lot of time with the Jeep this weekend taking advantage of one of the last warm weekends in order to get painting finished.

Frame is finished, just waiting to finish rebuilding the axles to start assembling the suspension.

That’s a great feeling and sight! Awesome progress. I’m hoping to get my Eastwood sprayed this weekend, but weather is looking tough and I have to make a trip to Long Island for some special Jeep goodies.

Thanks it is a good feeling. If you don’t get the work done on your frame at least you’ve some other Jeep activities to look forward to.

In my haste in ripping the body tub apart and getting the frame free for cleaning and repair I think I may have misplaced the steering stabilizer bracket.

Anyone following know where to get a replacement or if there is an alternative option?

Wow! That’s awesome. I greatly appreciate that. I’m planning on getting a new steering stabilizer, but assume I still need the bracket.
