AMC 20 bent axle tube

Is it possible to straighten the axle tube on a AMC20 , my right rear tire seems to have more wear and I think the pressed in tube must have bent from the housing, Also when looking at the rear shackles they splay outward (back of rear leaf springs are wider than the frame rails). I have moser 1 piece axles.

An alignment shop should be able to pull it the tube back into position (as long as they understand older AMC20 's)

I have straightened the tube on my dana 27(CJ3-b) and have seen other axle housing done in a google search. My axle tube was bent from an accident and not likely to see any serious wheeling the remainder of it's life. So I guess conciderations need to be looked at, where is it bent and why, how hard do you intend to wheel in the future? availabilty of a solid replacement? etc.

Take it to an axle shop to have it re-aligned. Then have it welded to the center section. Now would be a good time to truss it as well.
