Picked up a mc 2150 to rebuild and place on my AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l . The question I have is the mc 2150 I got has the feedback solenoid or Aneroid assy on it, and I'm not sure what to do with it? Do I hook it up or leave it be ??????

I have one on my current AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and one i built a while ago. send a pick of the part your talking about.. Im not sure what it is.

Okay the first picture is the Aneroid assy I'm talking about. Not sure what to do with it.

Second picture is a little black plastic piece mounted under the elec choke assy with a pigtail coming off of it. I think I'm going to remove this completely and dis-guard it unless you guys say otherwise.

And the last pic is of the fuel line inlet I was wondering if I should find a brass barb fitting to screw into it as is or should I remove that piece and screw it directly into the carb.

Wow.. I've never seen any of that on a 2100 or 2150 before. Try googling 21(0 the name of those parts and the word ranger station together.. The ranger station website has a tone of info on the carb.. You sure it's a 2150?

Do know what year carb that is? I'm thinking a '80s one when Ford had to start dealing with Goverment Emmisions :dung: like Jeep with the there carbs that you are trying to replace. From everything I've read you want to find a '70s carb.

So it being a '83 I think those two things are emmision related stuff that you should eliminate.

So in the first picture I seems to be called a few things, a aneroid assembly, a bellow, a back off assembly . It has something to do with altitude compensating .i think I'm just going to remove it and fab a cover for it to block it off. After more digging I think this is a stepper motor? Should I leave it, block it off ?????
