The VW diesels are pretty peppy, and they get around 45 mpg's out of them.
Untill you put it in a Jeep.
Thanks for that though, I'm gona look into those options.

The cummins 4B was a pretty popular swap, cause they were getting around 25-30 MPG's, and that is a heavy motor. We get 25 average out of the Liberty. Plenty of choices, good luck in your search/decision.

The 1.8 vw diesel makes like 100+ hp&tq but turbo diesels make more.
That 4.8l is a small v8 but it hardy and makes great power.
