We made it back to Gulfport last Friday and spent a couple days with Nancy's brother. Took off Monday morning and headed north through Mississippi. Lots of farming and logging going on once you leave the coast. Crossed the Mississippi river again Wednesday into Arkansas. We haven't seen anything of interest to us so we've been traveling the back roads. Going to make our way to Fort Smith. It looks like some interesting stuff there.

Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you. Did you drive Hwy 7 in Arkansas ? Beautiful back road through the country side and over the Buffalo River. Americas first national river

We traveled up RT 1 and a bit of 79 mostly from where we crossed the Mississippi in Helena. Lots of farm county and since we're from a farming and logging area it was interesting to see the harvesters and tractors wallowing through the muddy fields.

I'm a little disappointed myself but understandable why you couldn't make it. Hopefully when we come back through you'll feel better. We haven't driven highway 7 yet. We drove highways 14 and 95 so far to Morrilton where we spent the night. Also beautiful back county roads through the Ozark mountains. From here the plan is to go to Hot springs and then to Fort Smith. We'll most likely get a bit of RT 7 then.

It a blast most of the time. I think one of my favorite things is when we take a wrong turn and don't care.

We will be passing through Va. Sometime next spring. We're hanging around the southern states this winter and start north sometime in March. Need to stop and visit with my boy in N. Carolina for a while and move north as the weather permits.

Copy that - I’ll keep an eye on your progress. If you head up 81 in very close. If you head up the Parkway, I can almost hit that with a rock [emoji6]

Not sure what route we'll be taking but detours are always on our list of favorite places to go.

P.S.
No one got hurt in the rollover and were not part of the bunch from Louisiana. We came across the couple that were wheeling alone and lost control on a very slippery hill.

Looks like a good time!
Is that your Jeep parked in the first parking spot on the right (on asphalt)?

You've got a good eye. It is my jeep.
