Saw this nice scrambler on I10 in phoenix 2 mornings ago on my commute to work.
I would have been in my CJ7 with the wonderful weather we have right now but I've got a stress fracture in my left foot so no clutch and manual driving for a few weeks.

New one at the Publix supermarket grocery store parking lot. The owner came out as I was snapping pics. I left some business cards on his console and windshield before I met him.
We talked for a bit. He has owned the CJ7 (86) for 5 years. Nice masked guy...

He’s been swapping parts around. His dash pad is the older style before the moveable vent windows, and his steering wheel looks similar to the early wranglers..... or maybe the Cherokees..... did they put that style wheel in the late CJ’s? Either way, very nice looking rig!!

Anyone who wouldn’t like driving a CJ is weird and should be avoided. Unless that person is a spouse, then they should be tolerated LOL.

Was at a guys house yesterday doming some moulding work, and this was in his garage. His Dad bought it for him when he was in high school, in 81, and it’s an 81. He said it had 15k on the odometer. Look at the mileage now......

Oh - And he has the original blue soft top as well. I don’t like him anymore.
