Electric Fan Wiring assistance needed.

Electric Fan Wiring assistance needed.
Hmmm .. Guess I got a new task ahead of me.. Little bit of rewiring for some bulbs. Thanks for the correction

lol. Should only take you a few minutes to fix

Actually I'm pretty all my switched power indicators are not wired like that. I think.. Now I'm not gonna be able to sleep tonight.

I dont know about a variable speed motor, but I linked the controller in my last post. If achieves differenct fan speeds by limiting the amount of amps the motor(s) are pulling starts at about 60% at the low temperature and up to 100% if the temp continues to rise. I rarely see it run longer than a a minute even in heavy traffic on my 5.4

You did!! don't know how I missed that, head where the sun don't shine sometimes.
That is pretty slick, I guess if you go first class on water resistant relays and circuit breakers it may be cost effective but $105 for a switch that can do one fan is a bit steep at first look but then you have this.

So I guess this is not a bad option.:D And it is rated at 45 amps which is very impressive.

Yeah it's pricey but here is my spiel why I think it is a must for fan control. 1. It's simply very clean and easy to wire, it has spade connectors to account for manual bypass and a.c. 2. It is rated at 45 amps (although the fuse it comes with is 25) it has more than enough amperage to run both fans. 3. It turns both you fans into multi speed fans because it only cuts then on at 60% power at the set temp and slowly increases up to 100% if need be. This also reduces the shock and load on your alternator when it does kick on. 4.It runs the fan for a set amount of time after you shut off the vehicle, which is great if you have a carb and are prone to vapor lock

The down side s are the price and since it only has one fan output it won't be ideal for single two speed fans like the ones from the tauri. I strongly suggest splurging on one because of the advanced functions but your way with the temp probes certainly Seems cost effective

This link is the write up i did in my f150 page 2 has wiring pics and info http://www.f150forum.com/f4/windstar-fan-install-158955/
