Engine not sitting correct

I just put a new, used '72 AMC 304 in and the engine is sitting proud of the motor mount on the drivers side. It is flush on the passenger side. It is only elevated about .090 and I don't want to crank it down out of fear of stripping the threads on the mount. I think there might have been a bit of rubber from the mount that migrated up the threads and is holding it up. Or, it might just be resting on the thread. Anyhow, I'm thinking of just running it then checking it to see if it resolves itself. Any thoughts?

I were you, heck I was you with my 360, I would loosen everything up, then get a breaker bar on a safe place on the engine. Then give it a good solid shake up/down/side to side. give it a chance to force itself to settle on he mounts. I ended up lifting the engine a little, loosening and removing the mount from the frame on the drivers side then tightening the rubber mount to the frame mount, then using alignment pins lowering the engine until the mount holes lined up. Leaving to pins in place I tightened the frame bolts finger tight, then removed the other pins and bolted her up solid all the way around. Sounds overly complicated, but in reality it was easy.
