Hi there - i just put back together my dash after it being apart for many months. I had labeled most of the wires. At the end i had this extra red wire which i'm thinking may have just been a spare in the harness in case i wanted to mount an extra guage or something....although there is no power to it. I seem to have wires going to all the other instruments (high beam, LH & RH signal, temp, parking/proportional brake light, 3 illumination, some light i think is a 4WD switch but not sure - any idea what the light opposite the brake light on the cluster is??) I don't feel like taking dash apart to try and trace it back to its origin....hoping someone can shed some light.

Thx
Ron

You are correct on your assumption. Opposite the emergency brake warning light is the 4wd light. Which can easily be verified.
