1985 jeep CJ7 Dana 30 , replacing the old warn 5 bolt hubs with new mile markers. They came with a cheap paper gasket. I was curious if I should use gasket sealer along with the paper gasket to make it waterproof?

It's not really necessary, I ran for years without a gasket at all and never had problems. Of course we could be no further apart when it comes to water.

Your from Florida, plenty of water, and mud down there. I would brush a sealer on both sides of the paper.

Ditch the paper-Use the sealer.
I say use it on both the hub's base and the dial base.

If you do use sealer use something that goes on very thin, not thick like RVT.
Some thing like -->>

I've have/use permatex 300 same type as CJ posted. Just brush it on.

It is also a great thread sealer for head-bolts that go into the water jacket of the block.
