Build Thread Got my jeep today!!!!

Build Thread Got my jeep today!!!!
Sanded and painted a little more silver. Stopped to do inventory tonight. I thingk I'm gonna leave the wheels black.

Just finished spraying another coat of silver. The paint is sagging before it has a chance to cure. Or I'm too impatient and am putting it on too thick. The hood is what's killing me. It's cold here too. I think it was 50 degrees? The body is good to go. I'll just shoot another light coat on the hood again tomorrow. What do yall do with your extra stuff? I would like to donate it to some young man that could use it.

I had to strip the hood again and have repainted it for the 5th time. I like it now. Gonna go to lunch pick up my friends and come back home to press on! We have bad weather headed this way later so I'm gonna move the wire harness/dash in the house. At least I should get my dash/wiring done today. Plenty of pictures later been too busy since I have had a couple days off.

2 1/2 days off and good weather made quite a bit of progress. Where to start??? The body is silver to include the hood. I had to redo the hood 6 times. I completely stripped it on the 5th try but it's the way I want it now. Worked on a bunch of small stuff only to find out that: the clutch linkage has been wore out, The battery tray has WAY too many cracks. I got the roll bar/cage in with the help of my buddy. :chug:
Here are the pictures.

Man, I can't believe how fast you're moving on this build. It's amazing and the quality of the build is great. Can't wait to see it finished:popcorn:

I hope I can get mine apart and looking that good as fast as you have!
:notworthy:

First of all thank yall very much. Like I said in an earlier post as soon as I get this jeep done and running I'm giving my daily driver 2004 dodge truck to my son for graduation. It needs ork too like a paint job. Thank you very much for the compliments.

got the dash ready for another coat of paint along with a bunch of pieces parts.

Did you use single stage paint? Or a base/clear?

I alays use single stage then shoot clear over it. Thanks for the compliments a bunch.

Hit the ground runnin today. I knew what was waiting for me and I called on my best buds to help. Coors light and mr Bondo showed up and we took off.

Now if it rains all day tomorrow I can bring the dash in and work on the gauges. If it doesn't rain I have pieces parts that I can install.

I installed all the parts, mostly hinges, battery tray etc. Brought the dash in and installed stuff in it. I built up the right side so I could see the gauges better. old eyes ;)
