Ask me about my head light upgrade harness!!!
If any one has done the swap already and used the mr.gasket adapter next time you rebuild the carb throw out the mr gasket and order one of these.

$45.00 shipped it came with the bolts, bottom gasket and gasket for the 2100 that seals off all the open holes on the bottom. This thing is solid and fits like a glove.

Here's what the mr.gasket 1937 looks like. See how it's not square in the back? That causes all kinds of hell with leaks.

His email is michael.ehrmann@hotmail.com you can email him directly or go through his eBay store. I don't have his contact info but if I find it again ill post it

That's sweet!

The contact information would be great! I will hopefully be needing one of these in the next few months. I might have found a place for a MC2100 and it came with adapters for an additional charge.:(

This looks to be WAY more functional.

Thanks!:chug:

I used the email in the post.. That will give you a direct line to him. Ill be on eBay later tonite and ill see if i can dig up his contact info on there

I think i've seen his ebay page, he sell carbs too. I have the mr.gasket, but made a pattern with plans to machine out a new out of billet aluminum. I was gonna make mine square with no cut outs on the sides.

The front cut out is needed for that low hanging cover that goes over the power valve. I think the side with the throttle hook up needs to be cut out also for clearance.

i'll look later when I go down to the shop. I have a 2100 on the bench right now, parts came today and I finish it tonight. any idea how thick his adapters are?

IF I get a chance tomorrow i can check.. Id say at least 1/2". instead of FHSC screws he uses regular socket caps.. the hole head is below and there is still 1/8 or so of material below em.

I did a little investigating early today. I'm betting the plates are 3/4". I'm debating o\in attempting one using 1" to reduece chance of warpage even more. I also think I can reduce the front and side reliefs a bit too. I'll have to hunt a piece of 1" aluminum and do some lay out work.

can you make a pic from both side?

Very nice. Thanks for the heads up! :chug:

Hey, I've seen that adapter before. 1st post (I am ehrmannmp from EBay) and I own GRONK Performance. The adapters are about 3/4 thick and mate the hardware exactly. I have an excellent machinist and if the hardware ever changes slightly, he adapts. These will never warp. No need to go thicker. The intake is threaded 5/16-18 and I use 3/4" hardware.

Forgive my noob-ness. But is this what you'd use to run a 2 barrel carb on a 1 barrel intake?

No sir...

You'll want to swap intakes or grab a 2 to 1 conversion

There is a 1-2 adapter used for adapting smaller based 2bbl carbs to 1bbl intakes that mate nicely to the 2-2 adapter I build. The nice part about using a 2 piece adapter is if you ever swap to a 2bbl intake manifold, you have everything needed.

But until swapping to 2 barrel intake, why get the extra adapter?

Using a 2 piece 1bbl-2bbl adapter as opposed to a 1 piece adapter is recommended (by be) because it raises the new 2bbl carburetor further away from the single bore intake, adding space for the air/fuel to atonomize. Remember, you are force feeding a large 2bbl carburetor through a single port on the 1bbl intake.. There will be a restriction there. Spacing it out makes for a smoother flow. One thing I also like about the 2 piece adapter combo is it allows you to position the carburetor forwards/backwards or sideways. It gives you more options for connecting your throttle linkage and such.

I quickly read over your post and did not see any questions about that adapter plate.

I picked mine up from GRONK Performance on here and it is fantastic. The price is a little bit more then the cheapo ones that are out there but the quality more then makes up for it. Ive had 3 friend swap from thier cheapo adapters with poor running jeeps to Gronks adapter and the idle smoothed out and got rid of the flat spots on acceleration.

heres my post about my adapter.

As far as rebuilding goes to me the most difficult thing is setting the float height right.

Heres a file on rebuilding it.. make sure to take note of the part about blocking of the choke vacuum port
