Might not be a bad idea to pull a diff cover and count the ring and pinion teeth to be 110% what you have.
IF you do have 3:73. Then even a 32" dia tire would work very well.

Are those the original wheels? I was looking for new wheels until I found out that mine still has them, just painted black as opposed to original white. I'd be hard pressed now to do away with original wheels after all these years.
 
If your referring to the OP's wheels in the second post their aftermarket not original.

Posi is right... They were definitely aftermarket. And the PO thought it would be a good idea to take some silver paint and brush it on over the original white so they look pretty bad. After the helpful links to the info about wheel offset and backspacing, I'm looking for a new wheel that has a decent negative offset so hopefully I won't have the rubbing that the current wheels and tires give me...
