Hood Louvers?

I think of the vents more like a spray bottle or carburetor for that matter where the fluid (or air) is drawn up by the low pressure created by the air rushing over the top. Also heat raises, big ol' holes in the hood has to vent some of that heat out, I know you can certainly feel the heat coming out of the hood when its sitting in the garage after a drive.

the only time I have temp problems is at crawl speed, no rushing air to be found.

An electric 'pusher' fan really helps-

First off I have never had heat problems with my engine. I put mine in to remove some heat from the engine compartment, simple as that. Others do it for other reasons.

As far as going slow and heat is concerned, who knows heat rises and if it hits a big ol' hole there is some place for it to go ... up and out ... I've written it several times, my whole goal for installing the louvers is to reduce the over all heat under the hood as it relates to batteries and other parts especially electrical components. The engine is going to get hot, there isn't any stopping that and in many ways you don't want to stop it either.

My elec. fan is loud. It's a flix fan.

My electric fan is half as loud as before. One of the two seized up this week.

Hood louvers like many of us have would push that sound right back at you to, that would be a bad part of having these louvers.
