I think your mount looks fine. The bolts hold it in place and it holds up the body. What more can you ask for?? The body metal is 16 gauge and can be readily welded with a mig setup. Once you wirebrush it and soak it in blackpaint, it all looks the same.

Okay with your lift in the equation we are both in the same place. Having a bottom puck makes the mount look nice, I went with the stock arrangement. With the extra puck the body is 5/8" higher than normal which gets the front mount up off the frame. Yes, now that I have my Wire Feed MIG with a little clean up I'm going to weld the mount to the body, I don't like depending on bolts. All in all I'm satisfied with the comparison between your "stock" mount and mine. Thank you for spending the time and effort, it really helped me.

I re-read my responses above. I apologize if I appeared short or gruff ! I was only joking when I wrote " What more can you ask for?". It looks like you have a nice jeep project and I wish you the best of luck. John

No problem, no problem at all. I never thought twice about your response being gruff. With this sort of communication we need to pave a wide path between enjoying our communication and being offended. You stepped up and gave me exactly what I needed before others were able to do it, how could I be anything other than grateful for the time spent.
