1984 CJ7
Hello,

My new-to-me 1984 CJ7 has a lot of modifications by the PO. I am trying to sort out the engine bay at the moment. There are a ton of wires and rubber/vacuum lines that are disconnected. It would be great to know what these are. Any help would be warmly appreciated. If there are labeled diagrams out there that would help, as well. I have tired to go through factory diagrams but nothing seems to match what I have.

If anyone can help with the following items in the photo I'd appreciate it. Any other guidance would be helpful. What are/were they?

The pic is tough to decipher. Any idea what the items are hooked up to (not terminated to)?

I believe the circle on the right encompasses the sensor manifold for the emmisions system linked to the Carter.

The arrow at the top is the cowl drain.

The circle on the left is a system's port i believe...but I could be wrong...I dont recall my '84 having that when I desmogged it.

The component adjacent to the battery has a bank of wires running behind the battery into what I assume is the harness. It does not appear to have ever had anything connected to it.

The rubber hose with the arrow pointing to it originates from the firewall beside the heater hoses. It is clamped hanging down and goes nowhere.

The three section component sitting on top of the valve cover has the connector hanging with wires going to some point in the harness.

I really wish I could be more descriptive but I just don't know...hence my question.

Thanks so much for looking.

The part that is left of the battery that is circled is the factory diagnostic port. It was a very basic ODM port that showed things such as the RPMs and engine temps, but it did not show fault codes.
