don't worry there will be plenty of opportunities.:D

It's back and it's running better than it ever did. I paid way too much money, but hell one is always paying for the experience now isn't one? The mechanic tried his damnedest to get me to go back to the original carb. I told him no way. :chug:

Good deal not-tagged-smiley-10203.webp. Now, go out, and take a picture of what it looks like. And you should make yourself a little diagram of how all of the hoses are run. That way, when the next project strikes, whatever that may be, when you put it back together, you won't have this problem.

copy that elwood. Still need to put in a pvc he made this work with the little plastic thinga-ma-jigga. Bought a new valve cover and need to buy all the grommets as well. Also bought the throttle bracket and a new cable.

FOR THE RECORD, the previous owner had wired the spark plugs backwards. I switched them when I reassembled the carb. There was no way that I was going to get this baby to work. The timing was firetrucked. So much so that the carb guy thought, at least initially, that my engine was shot. The timing was so retrograde, that no spark could have made this baby work. Oh how I love "Previous Owners".
:notworthy:

I meant PCV (Positive Crankcase Valve)
:chug:

Wow, that's crazy. Well, in hindsight, I'm glad that you did take it to someone then, because we could have been here for a while troubleshooting that one, damn POs :wtf:

What you are saying is that it was #1 distributor to #6 plug? or he didn't get the #1 on the cap to line up with the #1 cylinder? that is so halfa2$.
Not the first time we have seen that one.:D
