Leaving the Cj world ( For Now )

Leaving the Cj world ( For Now )
I like it..... but not enough to get rid of my CJ to get it. Won't mom let you have 2 toys? Tell her it's a friends and your just truck sitting while he's away.... for a couple years.... in prison! yeah that's it.... prison!

She would if I could afford it. I like the way your thinking though. The prison story may get be back in a topless Jeep for Summer.

:laugh: Its all fun and games tell someone gets stuck then it hilarious :D

I never had a set of Thornbirds personally but Ive heard they really impress in , well nothing. I can hardly wait to shell out money for 35 x 14.5 x 15 Mud Terrains.

I looked up a set of nitto mud terrain 35x14.5x15 cost $318 a piece. That's as much as my toyo MTR 33x13.5x15 cost. Nothing likes $1200ish for a set of tires right?:(

Good grief, I don't hang out here much in while and I drop in only to find out that Pete is dropping out. What is happening in this crazy world, up is down, left is right it's all crazy and quite frankly very confusing. I'm going to go put my head in my pillow and cry.......

Lol it is a bit strange for me as well. Its also only temporary.

I hear you about the Old Willys wagons. There was actually a pretty cool on in Jp awhile back. I think they grabbed the pics from Moab. It was built up but kept the stock look. I'll have to search for it and send a link.

:chug:

Waaa Waaa Waaa sniffle sniffle you promise

No seriously that a bad *** pickup can't blame you. I'd sell mine for one of two vehicles a 69 ss camaro or any year of old willys wagon

I just got a chance to take a look at this now that Im at home. That definately needs some metal work. :D I dont think the owner gives it enough credit though.

Good glass is a huge plus and if your pretty handy that door looks saveable as well as the grill. Hard to see the fenders but hey maybe. Its a parts truck but not a bad one. Throw some metal at it and put it on that Wagoneer next to it. :p

Actually just go get it and put it in your back yard. Then commence looking for one that needs some of the parts it has.

The Tornado is what would peak my interest the most. I have alot of research to do now. Kinda fun. :)

I have to admit, I'm a closet fan of these myself.. I almost bought an Overlander Wagon last year in PA.. if it wouldn't have been as rusty as it was, well.... it would have been mine.:D

Your close enough. :D

I am going to see what I feel like when I come back from the Colorado trip and if this is still there, well, maybe.

I want something that has no hope of being a "restoration". No guilt about cutting fenders, cutting the dash, tilt wheels and 40 something inch tires.

And I would love to have them, but there are no plans to go back this year..:( Too bad this wasn't happening a month ago, my buddy was just in Philly, visiting family.. would have been a perfect set up.

I think that one fits the bill. :D

It figures , thats how it usually goes. Id love to find someone to take the whole lot of it.

The only time it is ok to leave the CJ world is when you go get a Willy's truck. There is no drop in cool factor there. My first time up Lions back in Moab in 1993 was with a redneck that has a chevy blazer frame and drivetrain converted under a Willys truck. It was the coolest damn I ride have ever seen at the time and he was driving across country by himself to wheel all the popular spots in the west. He even had striped coveralls with the sleeves cut off and a mullet and worked at a beer plant. This dude was hardcore.
