Leaving the Cj world ( For Now )

Leaving the Cj world ( For Now )
Ha ha that sounds like a pretty cool way to live. :chug:
The only time it is ok to leave the CJ world is when you go get a Willy's truck. There is no drop in cool factor there. My first time up Lions back in Moab in 1993 was with a redneck that has a chevy blazer frame and drivetrain converted under a Willys truck. It was the coolest damn I ride have ever seen at the time and he was driving across country by himself to wheel all the popular spots in the west. He even had striped coveralls with the sleeves cut off and a mullet and worked at a beer plant. This dude was hardcore.

1 for you.

1959 WILLYS JEEP PICK UP

I am going to see what I feel like when I come back from the Colorado trip and if this is still there, well, maybe.

I want something that has no hope of being a "restoration". No guilt about cutting fenders, cutting the dash, tilt wheels and 40 something inch tires.

And 1 for you.

1958 Willys Wagon

Waaa Waaa Waaa sniffle sniffle you promise

No seriously that a bad *** pickup can't blame you. I'd sell mine for one of two vehicles a 69 ss camaro or any year of old willys wagon

Hey Pete, where's mine?

Ya.. Ditto! :D

I was searching pretty hard for one in PA last year, there were quite a few for sale around the area I was working..

If I found a truck in good enough shape I would probably buy it, but I really like the overland wagons, and I really, really like the '48 model year.. they have a great hood ornament and body trim moldings that year.. damn, I should have bought the one I had found out there, if not just for the parts!

A 48 but a wagon.

The 55 in Pa. doesn't look to bad.

That mustve been the black one. Alot of these things are rotting away especially on those early weaker frames. Thats why alot of them have that "sag". :(
