Model 20 and Dana 30

Model 20 and Dana 30
How much extra you guys think ill be paying if I go the locker route. I know he said he would not have to replace model 20 carrier. Would this make him do so?

Probley just the cost of the locker you choose. He will be in there already so I don't think he will charge any more to put it in there but I don't know you would have to ask him if he would charge you more labor to install the locker.

I'm going to search around tonight for prices. Any suggestions?

If you are going with a selectable locker I'd say either ARB air locker or the OX locker or with a manual I would go with a Detroit Locker. But you will pay a lot more for being able to have only when you want it.

Yeah, that's what it seems like. I think I'm going to wait, I want locking but not on roads, manual would be perfect

How would I know if I had track lock

How would I know if I had track lock

Jack up the jeep so both rear tires are off the ground, turn one by hand,
if the other tire spins the same way it's a track lock (and needs an additive), if it spins the opposite way it's open. (just needs the gear oil)

The model 20 cover is shot. Would love to find one with drain plug. Should I just go ole cast iron?

Dog, I'm jacking it up now, results to follow.

They rotate opposite another. Another question. While looking into the Transmission and transfer, I noticed a ton of seepage goo on the skid plate. I have the motor out, what steps do I need to take to drop the skid plate safely?
