Converting to HEI is really easy and the DUI ignitions is readily available simple install too. Parts available should you need them.

After spending the last couple days in the many auto parts stores trying to chase down a replacement cap I became aware of the parts availability for the various types of distributors.
Motorcraft/Duraspark parts are available in all of them.
HEI not so much.
Unfortunately none of them had a complete new one... they all suggested I make a run to San Diego.
Anyway, I did find a new Duraspark on eBay and ordered it, together with a new coil and a spare module.
I will be able to source cap, rotor, module, etc. in any of our local stores at reasonable cost. No order and wait

Your bought a good replacement. I'm going to get nocked but its time to update.
Our crazy Jeeps are old that they are kept alive with bandaids and tape.

Oh, be sure and use your old diven gear. There are many cases of where the gears were not compatible.

I don’t have a link for you currently as I’m not at home. But if you do a search for team rush upgrade, you will find exactly what you’re looking for. It includes parts list for every aspect of the upgrade. Maybe you can use those part numbers to do more thorough search. The specific writeup I’m thinking about is by the guy who created it. He has a very thorough write up that includes the Ford duraspark ignition module, as well as upgrades to the rest of the ignition system. I did it to my AMC 304 and it works amazing. Due to the unreliability of the ignition module, I would suggest getting two of them if you can, that way you have a spare for if/when the first one stops working. The other option, which you will also see in the right up, is to upgrade to an MSD 6AL module. I did that and it is definitely a much needed improvement over the duraspark.

thanks. I just searched "team rush upgrade" and got a ton of hits, but apparently not the specific post you are referring to.

BTW: is did order a spare module.

Do you have specific question.
I actually can speak with Team Rush
I have his number

No specific questions, just interested in the parts list, and instructions the other guy was referring to.
Thanks 👍
