And we primed the spots we worked on to keep rust from forming.

From this point, we need to cut out the rear passenger side corner. It is full of bondo. That will be the next thing that we do.

This throughout this week we will be getting everything ready to body work. And hopefully by this weekend, we will have a couple family members come over with a couple cases of beer and we'll get this thing straight and ready for bedliner and paint!

Body work has been going on for the past week. Here is what we have.

The tub is done minus the rear passenger side corner....It;s going to need a few wipes to get it straight...But not after some hammer and dollie work to get it closer....But overall, I think it has turned out pretty good considering that this thing probably wasn't straight from the factory. ha

My Grandad came over to give us a hand. He attacked the hood and got it looking good.

I fabbed up a new baffle for the inner fender and spot welded it in place.

I am very happy that we cut out and replaced that corner....The radius of the corner on the piece that we cut out was in the wrong place and totally threw off the shape of the corner. And to form the shape, we just used a piece of 4" PVC pipe and a couple clamps.

Wow, Good job. :notworthy:
Now I know who to go to for body work.

Very nice work! Can't wait to see it when you finish.

Thank you everyone for the comments! We're going to get the tub on the trailer tonight and take it to the paint shop in the morning.

What bumpers are you using?

I made them out of 2x4 steel tube. Pie cut the ends, and weld it up.

Body work is done! A thick coat of filler primer was sprayed over the weekend and my dad spent all day yesterday sanding. It's is really slick now and it has turned out better than we had expected.

The grill and hood still needs to be sanded.

The kind of mess you can expect if you ever decide to do your own body work....

102_0873.jpg

Loaded up on a trailer....The tub was dropped off at 8:30 this morning...

And yet, there is still so much more work to do. :D

Really like the build alot. Excellent work. I was about half way through the thread when I realized you were in Piqua, thought it was funny I am from DeGraff, and my dad is right down the road on 36 in Lena. Great build looking forward to seeing the jeep out and about when its done.

U guys are really doing a great job. What impresses me the most is your eye for detail. Looks great. How do I subscribe to this thread? I can't wait to see more pictures. Very motivating. :)

Thank you everyone for the support! :chug:
