Great build Hazzo, looks awesome so far. Mine is nowhere near that well put together. I have the same tilt column as you and I need a new wheel. Any idea on what range of GM wheels will swap out on there? I need a puller of course but I'm afraid to hit the junkyard and get a random that doesn't line up. Looking for something cleaner like what you got on there.

Good work.

I'm not entirely sure what steering wheels will fit on that particular column....But an aftermarket steering wheel like mine will have an application list on the box. Just match up a wheel to the year of your column.

Ok, that is helpful. Since I got mine with the column on and was told 'its a late model GM' column, what year is yours? I know just by looking at it its the same so if I find a wheel that fits yours it will fit mine. Thanks!

Nice rebuild!
That will be a jeep to be proud of.

I forget the exact year. But I do know that it is a '70's piece.

Nice rebuild!

Thanks! I'm excited to get it on the road and to some shows.

Where did you find the headers need a set for my flatie

What's your fuel tank from? I'm getting ready to work on my CJ6 and want to get rid of the tank under the seat.

The fuel tank is factory....'71 is a goofy year and during the switch from Kaiser to AMC, they changed the gas tank location....But this is a Kaiser Jeep...

I can't remember where I got those. Let me check my receipts and I'll let you know.

Hot dog man you are writing up a nice build thread with lots of great pictures. Keep up the good work bro and keep the pictures coming.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement! :chug:

This weekend (Memorial Day weekend) my dad and I should be working on the Jeep....Hopefully we get the rocker panels attached to the floor and get the rear portions cut and formed into the wheel wells.

Whats your reasoning behind the solid tailgate? I would think it would be better to have one for ease of access to everything in the back.

doing a good job. its coming along good. :chug:
