just take pictures of the Transmission from as many angles as you can. is it a 3 or 4 or a 5 speed?

If stock could be a SR4 or T-176 . Is the stick curved or straight?

It would be a good thing if you were to get down under the Jeep and take pictures of the machine that is at the bottom end of that stick.

Can't read the numbers in your photo. This *should* be correct;
5359389= T-177
5359390= T-176

I bought a T177 that was advertised as a T176.

Why do you need to change the shifter?

I am with Petescj on this just seeing the stick & tag area T-176 .
176-177 same thing until you buy parts. Since can`t see numbers, need them listed.

Is shifter or case broke? Or retainer-washer-spring? It will be cheaper to repair then replace.
