- 1978 CJ 7 As delivered with 12400 miles. New battery, top, and spark plug wires, and an Earl Schieb in 1995. Zero options except for power steering. Still driving on original tires, brakes, shocks, everything.
My new CJ7 is a base model with 12400 original miles. I just bought off c-list a 1995 wrangler back seat with brackets. My problem is there are only three holes in the rear floor of my CJ7 . Two untapped holes with nuts under body ( one on each side), and one centered hole untapped for the the rear of the seat. There not any other underbody nuts for the front of the seat, but there are two more outboard nuts for the rear, but the floor pan has not been drilled to expose these rear nuts. The seat I bought needs two holes for each front bracket, and the rear is just three rubber bumpers that contact the floor. Any suggestions on what I might do for both the seat mount and seat belts? The three rear nuts are all located in a transverse brace for the floor and my roll bar has no padding or seat belt holes/braces. Thanks, Bill
