My buddy has an 05 Wrangler, with a New Process 231j Transfer Case 272 ratio.
The dipspit serviced the fluids,& didn't tighten the fill plug 30k ago.
Stinks, rackets, appears to be toast.
Outside of buying a new one, does anyone have ideas on rebuild?

He's a carpenter, i told him; just toenail it. Didn't see a smile so i guess he's bummin.

Yea, figured that. She's pretty smoked.
I manage a repair shop, yet i've learned some great things on this site.
1011 bucks from Jasper, our cost. 3 yr 100k warranty.
675 bucks from our local rebuilder. 1 yr 12k " " .
Of course i'd charge dipstik double for not checkin/tightening the plug.
