The sniper looks great. Looking forward to see it finished and running and a report

Me too. My slow progress is very frustrating. It's just very difficult to find garage time with three daughters in the house plus a wife who is in the last few months of her masters program.

I think having it done by memorial day is certainly doable, but I'm not going to freak out if it goes another week.

sounds exactly like my problem, I have 2 little ones in the house and the wife is finishing her BSN

Well good for her! That's awesome. My wife is a BSN presently as well.

Looks good.... at some point down the road I'll be doing the same upgrade.

That's right where I mounted my MSD box only with the plug facing to the back.

Run a GND wire from the one of the MSD mounting screws to the fender.
Cuts the RFI a good bit.

Will do. Can I just run it to a ground block?

Sure you can. ;)
Will the coil interfere with your air-cleaner?

No. It's the same distance from the center as it was before, just swung out to the side a bit more. I couldn't put it where it originally was because the CTO switch is in a little bit different location than it was on the stock manifold.

I'm sure that my good planning will be penalized by the fact that my coil wire probably won't reach now...

Is there a reason to not weld the O2 nut to the pipe? Seems like a better option than that clamp.

There's no specific reason. I've done a lot of reading, and watched lot of videos and they all show the supplied clamp and flange and gasket being used. The hardware that is supplied is very high-quality thick flange and gasket and very high-quality clamps.

I'd feel better adding some high heat RTV around the hole if you haven't already.
With clamps loose give it an hour to setup, then tighten the clamps down.

The sensor comes pre-coated with high-heat seal / anti-seize. It has a plastic cap you remove before installation. I'll be able to see signs of leaks during testing so if need be I can add some.

I was referring to adding RTV around the hole in the exhaust and flange. I wouldn't trust just a gasket. If you recall the water pump conversation last night....
