I think your gonna need a bigger truck. ;)
cause then you can supply all your buddies.

Youd be suprised what you can fit in a Mercury Sable Station Wagon.

or a big *** trailer !!!

Its times like this I miss the Scrambler. Better for hauling the dirtier parts. A full size truck and trailer would be really nice. Send me the money you spend on shipping and I'll start looking. :)

It may be easier to just move...see if he will trade houses. :D

I would in a heartbeat... him , probably not so much. I live right in town. He lives in the boonies. Id trade my house for his shop. :D

:D:Di'd come up and see if they'd be willing to sell a couple?

Im planning on grabbing whatever it is he has. ;) Theres supposed to be another storm coming this weekend though.:bang:

keep us posted, pics, prices, etc.:chug:

Well the piles of parts turned out to be a bust. Nothing really worth mentioning so I passed. The Transmission was in great great shape though. This is one heavy Transmission .

Heres the only other part I have dedicated to this build as of today. I have alot of parts to gather for sure. :bang:

Hey I like that bumper !!
Nice find !!

Thanks. Well life has taken yet another turn. The people we rent our house from have decided its time to sell. :( Since Vicki and I want to move to Va. ( when the kids are out of school in 3 1/2 years ) buying this place isnt in the cards.

This definately postpones any frame off rebuild. Im not tearing it apart and moving it in pieces. For now I will focus on the Transmission swap. I'll gather everything I need and do a write up on the swap. That way I can still move her under her own power when the time comes. :)

I hate thoes sharp turns life throws at ya.:(

Pete!! It's perfect...dude...look for a place with a two car detached garage!! Sometimes these things can be a blessing.

I think I would rather take a beating than move again...

Good luck Pete, I bet the right place will fall into place for you!

This won't be too expensive Dear! That's what I keep saying. Over and over again.

Oh sure you say that...but what if it was from Chuck Norris?

Me too, just buckle up and hang on! Wishing you all the best as you find a new shop, I mean home. :D

Yeah I wasnt really ready for this one. They have some health issues going on and its totally understandable. They are good people. :)

Thats true. I used to work on the Cj outside till I moved here. Maybe just time for an upgrade. :)

I do hate to move thats for sure. Finding places that rent isnt the problem. Renting to people with big dumb dogs is. No worries I wont leave him behind.;)

I was on a site the other day where a guy built himself a nice loft inside a awesome shop. I wonder if Vicki would go for that?

I have several friends that have built houses in a shop/barn that are fully functional and very nice as well. I'm not much on living with the horses and stuff, but the apartments in a big shop are pretty cool...

Yeah good luck Pete !
Hopefully you find somewhere with a kick-*** shed or garage :(

I grabbed these from another website I visit. My dream home. :notworthy:

OH yea. That would make me happy. :notworthy:

Congrats on the Limited . The underhood insulation IS original, and the underhood light takes an 1156 bulb (1157 is double filament for tail lights, 1156 is single filament for reverse lights, underhood light, and also is a brighter option for interior floor lights, although you have to ditch the bulb covers)

What exactly is wrong with the T-176 ? The SM465 is a good tranny, but the unsyncrod first gear isn't fun to drive around town. I have one in my old GMC pickup though and I just start in 2nd. T-176 should be a pretty easy rebuild, and if you check the tag, you MIGHT already have a T177.

T-177 (3.82 first gear) will have the number 5359389
T-176 (3.52 first gear) will have the number 5359390

I'm guessing you'll have 2.73's since that's normally what came with the T-176 , BUT, if you look to the right of the pumpkin, there will be a letter (or letters) stamped there.

D is 2.73 open
DD is 2.73 tracloc
B is 3.31 open
BB is 3.31 tracloc

I've got a Dana 30 with 3.31's in my shop, and have been looking for an AMC30 with 3.31s to swap in. Guessing shipping would be a killer since I'm down South, but if you end up swapping out for an 8.8 rear and yours is 3.31 holler before you sell it.
