Hi
New to the forums so I'm replacing the chain on my Transfer Case as the old one had a lot of play and slop but I can't seem to get new chain and sprockets back in and was hoping someone had a tip for it. I know it's the correct chain so that's not it and I'm doing it with the front half of the case still on the truck.
Thx in advance Jacob

Been a long while since I've worked on a chain drive, but if I remember right you'll need both sprockets in your hands with the chain wrapped around both. Then all three parts goes on at the same time (similar to timing sprocket, crank sprocket and timing chain).

Hope I didn't underestimate your issue! Good luck.

Just thought about dropping the front drive shaft and making sure the Transmission and case are all in neutral. That'll give you some play with the splines.

Sorry I misread your post, thought you were looking for a chain.

The above is exactely how to do it, nevertheless a second person is really
helpful putting it together.

Find below the instructions from the FSM:

Reckin' Bowmann94 is another victim of the single post syndrome??? Ain't heard a peep outta him since the first post.

Man, I was hoping that problem with new members re-accessing the site with their original log on info was over.
