Radiator Mounting question

I have a 3-row OEM radiator that my mechanic mounted in the Jeep but there's a gap to the mounting support.

I'm curious if your radiators mount flush or have a gap? It's about 3/4 inch.

On that second pic it almost looks like there's a spacer installed. I'm not sure what stock is supposed to look like, but my radiator has always sat flush against the front clip.
