What I've got: the wires going from the Transmission / Transfer Case to the molex connector / harness connector thingy:

gAZDZUo.webp

Wires going from the reverse lights to an area by the parking brake:

eyIKBiG.webp

The two light green wires by the parking brake are labeled "to brake lights" and to "brake lights power +B" or something like that. When the "to brake lights" gets 12v the brake lights come on.

My questions:

I'm assuming I need to get the two green wires through the firewall. How do I do that? Shouldn't they be connected to the back of the fuse box (or that relay?), with a harness coming out the other side to connect to the Transmission side? I can't see anywhere on my engine side of the firewall that has any wires labeled for the backup / 4WD lights or any connectors that look anything like the plug coming off the tranny/xfer case.

edit: Please fix the email notifications for replies! I don't want to have to check this thing every few hours or forget about it being here.

Flex, are you looking to hook up the back up lights? Since that circut comes from the bu/seat belt fuse which is hot with the ignition switch in the on position. Actually any fused ignition on hot line would work.

Yes, I am trying to hook up the back up (reverse) lights and 4wd indicator.

I don't think there is such a fuse on my panel. Even if it was, shouldn't there be something that molex style connector / harness attaches to on the engine side of the firewall, or is that something the PO removed when installing the painless harness?

I have seen the painless manual. My PO removed the pigtail that goes between the Transmission and bulkhead (the one pictured) and I don't know where those wires need to run to on the bulkhead. I think the three wires on that pigtail all need to go to the bulkhead on Reverse signal, 4WD signal, and reverse signal power, right? I can't find those in the manual on the bulkhead except for the 4WD indicator. I'm also having a hard time finding out where the two wires in the other picture need to hook up on the interior.
